2240 Gallery “I AM…” Exhibition
Curation and creative direction for 2240 Gallery's inaugural group exhibition in Chicago, IL during 2022. This exhibition showcased the work of 40 talented and underrepresented artists from the local Chicago community.
The central theme of the exhibition aimed to foster a deeper sense of connection and understanding among different communities. Each artwork served as a compelling self-portrait, sharing the unique stories and perspectives of the artists through diverse mediums such as photography, sculptures, and paintings.
To bring this vision to life, I also took charge of the art direction, which involved creating original digital illustrations that were skillfully integrated across both print and social media channels. The impact of the exhibition was profound, as evidenced by the tremendous success of the opening reception, which saw an impressive turnout of over 300 attendees. This achievement not only celebrated the talent and creativity of these artists but also contributed to a more inclusive and interconnected artistic community in Chicago.
